Valladolid
is the capital city of Castile Leon. Like so many of Spains towns
and cities Valladolid is packed with history and hidden treasures.
Back in the 15th Century King Ferdinand married his beautiful
Isabella, making her Queen. Valladolid offer many old churches
and monuments, museums throughout the city house ancient finds
and artifacts.
Valladolid
is home to 'The English College', the college was originally founded
for the training of priests for the English and Welsh Mission.
The college building, some parts of which date from the early
17th century is situated in the centre of this bustling city.
The region, is where Christopher Columbus and Cervantes lived,
their houses can still be seen in Valladolid, as well as the home
of St. Teresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross; not only is
the region rich in Spanish culture and history, but also in spirituality.
