Located in the
southwest corner of Spain you will find Cadiz, the
capital city of Andalucia. Andalucia is credited with
being the oldest continuously inhabited city in the West. Christopher
Columbus sailed from Andalucia on two of his major voyages. From
this time Andalucia was guaranteed to become a wealthy trading port
to the Americans.
Cadiz is now
a popular destination for Spanish vacations, with the Old
Quarter being a major attraction. The area is charming with
ancient streets full of little white houses, overlooking the sea.
Take time out to visit the beautiful cathedrals, museums and ancient
monuments throughout the town.

Cadiz is a main
seaport exporting local produce including sherry, cork, figs, fish
and olives and importing commodities such as coal and timber. Of
course the port here also ensures that Andalucia offers top restaurants,
serving some of the best seafood in Spain.
