If you are looking
for culture during your visit to Barcelona there is no greater place
to visit than the Liceu Theatre. After being destroyed in 1994,
it was decided to be so poular that it was rebuilt. The new 'Gran
Teatre del Liceu' was restored preserving parts of the building
unaffected by the fire; the auditorium had to be rebuilt, but along
with the restoration came state of the art technology for the stage.
Every year the theatre offers many operatic/theatrical performances
including Tosca, Hamlet and Macbeth.
The Maritim
Museum offers exhibitions of old navigation tools, maps and images
too! A family favourite is great adventure of the sea. Here can
board a ship and sail the high seas looking for adventure. If thats
not your cup of tea, visit the oceanarium, this is one of the largest
aquariums of its type, where you can walk through ahuge tunnel of
glass and watch the sealife as if you were swimming alongside it
yourself.
