Alicante is
wonderfully situated between the sea and the mountains, the beauty
of the region is clear for all to see. Throughout Alicante
you will find many cultural activities, there is something for every
taste. There are also many interesting festivals held in the city
including International Puppet Festival held in December and the
Contemporary Music Festival held in September. The
citys history is archived within the Casa de la Cultura/Cultural
Center and there is also a well stocked library documenting Spain
through the years.
In summer people
flock to Alicante from all over the world. Many visit this university
city to take advantage of the great variety of Spanish courses on
offer. But of course the majority come here for the amazing scenery,
golden beaches and sun! Charming streets combine classic and modern
influences to provide an exciting day when not sunning yourself
on the beach, and for those who enjoy sightseeing there are many
castles, museums and galleries to see.

At night the
city comes alive in a blaze of colour, bars and clubs bring the
sound of music into the night sky and the parties begin. Most restaurants
also offer full licensed bars and the dancing usually goes on until
the early hours.
